Attention All Fun Seeking Friends! This is Wayne Miller. Who says that in life there are no second chances? My band Country Roots performed to a PACKED house of dance crazed, party loving friends and locals at Cook's Corner on Friday, January 11! For those who missed out on all the fun, don't be sad, because the good news is that Country Roots will be doin' it's musical thing (or is that thang?) once again at Cook's Corner on Friday, February 1, from 8:30PM to 1:30AM! Country Roots features renowned recording artist Dennis Roger Reed on bass and vocals, Mark Loos pickin' and a bendin' those strings on lead guitar and on vocals, fiddle virtuoso Ellis Schweid, Ray Genovese on drums, and Yours Truly on lead vocals, guitar, and mandolin. Country Roots performs classic country by Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, etc., as well as West Coast country rock by Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers, Desert Rose Band, and others. Friday evenings are "Country Nights" at Cook's Corner. So pardners, pull on your Tony Lamas, come on down to Cook's Corner, kick up some dust on the dance floor, or just sit back, have a brew, and enjoy some rousing country tunes. DIRECTIONS: Historic Cook's Corner is the oldest roadhouse in South Orange County, dating back to the 1930's. Cook's is located at 19152 Santiago Canyon Road. From the 5 Freeway, take the El Toro Road offramp going inland towards the mountains. Drive all the way on El Toro Road until you reach the intersection of Santiago Canyon and Live Oak Canyon Roads (about 5 miles or so). You'll then be at Cook's Corner! SEE YOU THERE!
